Due to the UCI Cycling World Championships taking place there will be road closures in place on Saturday 28th September. We advise racegoers to use the A1(M) exiting at Junction 48 ‘Boroughbridge’ and we would strongly recommend coming straight to the racecourse to avoid road closures in Ripon City Centre.
In terms of closures through Harrogate on the 28th September – the circuit closures will be in place from midday through to around 4pm. With the A61 Northbound closed for the duration of the championships with traffic diverted via Skipton Road to get to New Park roundabout. As such we would encourage the use of the A1(M) to get from West Yorkshire to the Racecourse.
A6108 in from Masham will be managed under rolling road closures – with closures in place for around 40mins between 13:00-14:10 (the rolling closure time is dependent upon speed of the race). We would encourage race goers to arrive early and make the most of your hospitality. Use of the A6055 / A1(M) corridor is recommended.
