Here at Ripon we offer a variety of private boxes, suites, rooms and marquees for hire on race days, all of which are perfect for a celebration, corporate event, or just a great day at the races with friends, family or colleagues.

Our experienced raceday catering partner, CGC, provides bespoke menus and dining options to suit every taste. Working with many racecourses across Yorkshire, CGC prides itself on using delicious local produce to create everything from elegant seated meals with champagne receptions to relaxed finger buffets and barbecues.

We offer three options for box, suite, or room hire, each varying in size and location but all delivering a truly unique raceday experience.

Booking your private hospitality space couldn’t be easier:

Choose your preferred box, suite, or room.
Purchase the required number of admission badges for entry to the racecourse.
Our caterers will then contact you directly to discuss your food and drink preferences.

Rowels Boxes

Taking their name from the city’s famous 16th and 17th century ‘Rowels Spurs’, each self-contained box is a private area with an uninterrupted panoramic view of every race. There is a private cash bar, a private betting point, as well table service if desired. Each box is easily accessible by lift.

Our Rowels Boxes offer the ultimate hospitality experience, with its elevated private suites and balconies, all situated on our hospitality floor within the Club Stand.

The Rowels Boxes vary in size and can cater for parties of 16 right up to 120 guests.

We can even offer extended use of the room so you can hold corporate meetings or events before racing if required.

The Hornblower Room

Named after the famous ‘Ripon Watchman’, the Hornblower Room boasts a private terrace overlooking the Parade Ring and racecourse, plus its own private cash bar and betting point.

Suitable for up to 50 guests, our Hornblower Room is a perfect location in which to enjoy your day with us.

The Hornblower Room also has it’s own private lawn area.

Claro Suites

Named after the local Claro Barracks, Claro Hill was a well-known beauty spot celebrated by WWI poet Wilfred Owen. The Claro Suites feature a private outdoor terrace area and a cash bar overlooking the bandstand—providing the perfect setting to enjoy a relaxing summer’s day or evening at the races.

Located within the Paddock Enclosure, the Claro Suites require Paddock admission. Comprising three private rooms, they are ideal for groups of 40 to 50 guests, or can be combined (midweek only) to accommodate up to 90 guests.

Dine & View In The Rowels Boxes

A very popular hospitality option, aimed at smaller groups or individuals, our Dine & View package is an inclusive hospitality package.

The Dine & View restaurant is a shared facility situated in the Rowels Boxes in the Club Stand.

The private dining tables can each accommodate 10 guests or multiples thereof. The Dine & View package is the perfect option for treating someone special or for celebrating a special occasion.
