Enclosures
Which Enclosure Should You Choose?
Our three racing enclosures are outlined below to help you make your choice. For location details, please consult our course map.
If you’re still unsure, our friendly office team is happy to help—just give us a call!

Club Stand
In the Club Stand, our premium enclosure, you can enjoy lunch or afternoon tea in the Club Dining Room, cakes and afternoon tea at the Garden Oasis cafe, or sip a glass of champagne in the popular Silks and Saddles Bar.
Catch the action from the Winning Post or relax in the seated and covered Club Stand. The excitement of the Parade Ring and Winner’s Enclosure can be viewed from the first-floor St Wilfrid Bar.
Coming to Ripon is often a celebration, and this area offers the perfect opportunity to dress up. Ladies often wear hats, and gentlemen may enjoy putting on their sharpest suits. Admission includes a complimentary racecard, packed with more than just information on the runners and riders.
A Club Stand badge also provides access to the Paddock and Course Enclosures, where you’ll find the majority of our free children’s entertainment on Bank Holiday and Family race days.
Important Information:

Picnics are not permitted in the Club Enclosure.
- BBQs are not permitted in the Club Enclosure.
-
Smart attire is required; sportswear is not allowed.

Paddock Enclosure
Admission to the Paddock Enclosure gives you access to the main areas of the racecourse, including the Parade Ring for a close-up view of the horses, and fantastic views of the track.
This is the biggest and most popular area for large groups, and with our pre-booked group rates, it’s ideal for families, friends, or corporate gatherings. There is no formal dress code, so feel free to come casually dressed.
Enjoy a drink in the popular Wakeman Bar or sample a pint of Yorkshire’s finest in the Theakston Terrace Bar. A variety of dining options are available, including the Fountains Café, serving tasty home comforts, or try our freshly cooked Fish ‘n’ Chips.
You also have access to the main betting ring at the front of the stands, with Tote betting points throughout the enclosure. Admission includes access to all areas of the Course Enclosure, with the option to upgrade to the Club Enclosure on the day (subject to availability) for the difference in ticket price.

It offers views of the finish line and has a bar and food outlets available. On wet race days, limited cover is provided, but visitors can still catch all the action on the Course Enclosure Bar TVs. Betting is easy, with on-site bookmakers, William Hill, and Tote betting points available.
