We appreciate, as a summer racecourse, that it’s always important to feel comfortable. At Ripon, we only ask racegoers to follow a dress code in our Club Enclosure and we do ask that customers dress respectably…

Club Enclosure

Racegoers of all ages are asked to dress smartly in the Club Enclosure. While formal attire such as a suit and tie is not required, all guests are required to dress smartly.

Smart clothing: Shirts, blouses, dresses, skirts, trousers, tailored shorts, and smart jeans (no rips, tears, or fraying) are permitted.
Footwear: Smart shoes or smart trainers are acceptable.
Not permitted: T-shirts, sportswear, football shirts and sports trainers.
Warm weather: If the forecast is sunny and warm, polo shirts are permitted.

Please consider that the day may involve walking on grass. Choose footwear accordingly and monitor the weather in the days leading up to the race.

We encourage everyone to take the opportunity to dress up and enjoy the occasion!

Paddock / Course Enclosure

There is no formal dress code in the Paddock or Course enclosures, but we ask all guests to dress in a manner of taste and decency.

Bare chests are not permitted.
Fancy dress is allowed, but please ensure outfits are not offensive to other racegoers.
No offensive messages on clothing
While the weather may be warm (fingers crossed!), appropriate clothing is still expected.

We encourage everyone to enjoy the day comfortably while remaining considerate of others.

Ladies' Day

Dress to Impress

For many guests, dressing up is a major part of the race day experience, and Ladies Day is the perfect opportunity to do just that.

We hope attendees will embrace the tradition of smart attire and hats. On the day, we have unique prizes for Best Dressed Lady, Best Hat, and, not forgetting the gentlemen, Best Dressed Gentleman—so make sure you put on your sharpest suit and tie!
