With lots of questions surrounding the return of racegoers to Yorkshire’s Garden Racecourse we felt it would be a good idea to address some of the Frequently Asked Questions and queries all in one place so here goes…
What tickets are currently on sale?
Paddock Enclosure Tickets are now on sale for our meetings from Thursday 27th May to Thursday 17th June. Bookings are capped at 6 tickets per order for the time being.
Tickets for July/August and September are off sale temporarily whilst we assess adjustments to our capacity and the measures to be put in place beyond the initial stage of spectators returning.
Annual Badges
Annual Badges purchased for the 2020 season will be valid for 2021. 2021 Memberships are now on sale.
Members will be refunded on a pro-rata basis at the end of the 2021 season by means of a discount on 2022 memberships for any meetings which restrictions on the racecourse dictate you cannot attend.
Club/Paddock/Course Enclosure

Large parts of our Club and Course Enclosure are currently withing our ‘Racing Zone’ which is required for racing under Covid-19 restrictions. Consequently we are unable to make tickets available to purchase for these areas for the time being.
We have no packages including food/drink available at the moment, we hope to be able to add these to our offering as the return of racegoers draws closer and we are clearer about what our catering possibilities are.
Hospitality
We are not currently able to accept hospitality bookings for our Rowels Boxes or reservations for the Club Restaurant. Due to distancing restrictions and rules on people mixing indoors we do not expect to be able to offer Rowels Boxes at full capacity for the 2021 season. However, we are currently assessing possibilities for introducing ‘Hospitality Tables’ for 2021 and we hope to have some developments on this soon. Please check our website and social media regularly for updates on this.
Ladies Day
We are planning to hold our Ladies’ Day in its usual slot on Thursday 17th June. Unfortunately due to restrictions in place it is not viable for us to offer the Ladies Day Marquee option this year but we do plan to hold a Best Dressed and Best Hat competition as always and we are confident we can still make this a fantastic afternoon of racing, fun and fashion.
Family Days
Due to number restrictions we have not yet scheduled any Family Days for the 2021 season. We do have plans to stage a Family Day on Bank Holiday Monday 30th August but should be be able to do so details will likely not be finalised until mid-summer. Please check back on our website and social media pages for details as the season progresses.
Under 18’s are still FREE to all race meetings but they will need tickets so please be sure to add any Under 18’s tickets you may need to your basket upon purchase.
Music Nights
We have not yet scheduled music for our summer evening fixtures but in light of the announcements earlier this week and the ‘Roadmap’ laid out we are certainly looking at doing so.
Pre-Booking
With number restrictions in place pre-booking will be compulsory for entry. It will not be possible to purchase tickets on the day for our May and June fixtures and it is possible this could continue beyond then.
Refunds
In the event that attendance is not permitted at any fixture all tickets purchased for that fixture will be refunded to the card which you paid with. This might take a few days to process.
Open Tickets for 2020
Open Tickets purchased for 2020 will be valid but we will need confirmation which meeting you would like to attend. Keep an eye out for an e-mail from us in early March which will request notification of the day you would like to attend so we can e-mail tickets for that date to you.
