This fantastic event, organised by Ripon Races to support Harrogate Theatre will be returning for the second consecutive year, where up to 20 costumed characters could be racing across the final furlong.
In a spectacular potential display of unicorns, camels, horses, donkeys and cows, local businesses can don their selected costumes to raise money for a very important cause.
Harrogate Theatre is a registered charity (The Harrogate (White Rose) Theatre Trust Ltd, No. 225342) that relies on charitable donations, fundraising, and corporate partnerships to sustain its community, educational, and performance programs.
Because box office income covers only a fraction of their costs, the charity uses financial support to fund vital local initiatives.

Last year six horses battled it out over the final furlong, with the Ripon Races team coming first (whoops!), with Ripon’ s Set the Tone Fitness coming a close second.
A number of businesses have already teased their involvement and of course Ripon Races are keen to defend their winning title. However, there are still many spots to fill, and the charity is calling on businesses, community groups and sports groups to throw their hat, or costume, into the ring. At just £150 for businesses and £100 for community groups and sports groups, this is a fun, affordable experience that gets people noticed.

Last year’s Pantomime Horse Race was great fun and a fantastic way to bring everyone together. The atmosphere was brilliant and the event created a real sense of community. We are really looking forward to the buzz on the day, the costumes, the friendly competition, and the fantastic turnout.”
